Hush Puppies® launches New Global Retail Concept in Lebanon

On the 20th of October 2011 – Hush Puppies, one of the top casual footwear brands in the world, celebrated with family, friends, VIPs, Stars and members of the Press in a social gathering organized by Promar, the opening of its first global concept store in Dbayeh, Beirut, Lebanon. The store, which carries footwear and accessories from the global Hush Puppies range, represents a new international retail concept for the brand.

“The new concept store showcases what the Hush Puppies brand is all about: innovative, authentic, comfortable, casual style. We decided to store in highly visible locations and Beirut is a great city for retail,” said LAMBROS Antoniades, director of the Leatherex Ltd, An Authorised Distributor of Hush Puppies in Cyprus, North & East Africa. “It is an important and necessary step for Hush Puppies to move into monobrand concept store, so that we can tell our ‘own’ brand story and give our customers a complete Hush Puppies experience in Lebanon.”

The concept stores are part of Hush Puppies’ direct to consumer initiative including expansion in Lebanon. There are currently over 500 licensed Hush Puppies concept stores and over 700 shop-in-shops in 140 countries around the world. The Lebanon store showcase the brand’s new global retail design, which features an eclectic mix of vintage, natural material and contemporary design.

“Fruitful cooperation between Leatherex Ltd and Maksoud Group sarl led to the launching of the first monobrand Hush Puppies concept store in Lebanon which will be followed by opening more Hush Puppies concept stores in the most distinguished locations,” said Dr. Carlo Maksoud, General Manager of Hush Puppies shop in Beirut & Managing Partner of Maksoud Group sarl. “Lebanese are very stylish and in touch with global trends, and they look for quality footwear to suit the needs of our climate.
