Man United to meet Barcelona at finals

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson said he felt “vindicated” after his second string thrashed Schalke to move into the Champions League final.

United cruised to a 4-1 win, making it 6-1 on aggregate, despite making nine changes from the first leg.

Ferguson admitted that he had a sleepless night over whether he had made the right decision to rest his stars ahead of the Premier League clash with Chelsea this weekend, but praised his men for making light work of the Germans.
