Real Madrid has signed Emmanuel Adebayor from Manchester City on loan until the end of the season with an option to buy the Togolese striker.
Madrid will pay US$5,5 million for the forward, who had been little used at the Premier League club after falling down the pecking order.
Madrid coach Jose Mourinho is desperate to bolster his attack, with Gonzalo Higuain injured and Karim Benzema on unconvincing form.
Emmanuel Adebayor had his required medical on Thursday at Sanitas-La Moraleja Hospital. According to Dr. Carlos Diez, who oversaw the process, the player has a “tremendous physique. He is in very good health and is able to begin training immediately.”
“I want to score many goals and to achieve great things” says Adebayor.
