Horeca2012: Gastronomy and Taste Fair

The 19th edition of the largest hotel, catering and food exhibition in the region has started March 20, 2012 at Biel, proving that Beirut is the “capital of taste” in the Middle East.

Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Tourism Mr. Fadi Abboud, Horeca inaugurated on Tuesday, March 20, its much-anticipated annual show at Biel, held from March 20 -23, 2012 in the presence of eminent personalities, presidents of unions, and associations from the profession as well as ambassadors and media representatives.
Horeca Executive Director, Mrs. Joumana Salame-Damous, declared she was happy for having this year Italy as the “Country in the spotlight.” Salameh introduced also the various activities and conferences organized during the fair, such as the “National Food Industry Day” and the “International Food Safety Seminar”.
With three exhibitions held under one roof, Horeca 2012 has attracted over 350 exhibitors, whereas more than 13 countries have participated in this new and varied edition full of activities. Headed by experts and international chefs, more than 10,000 professionals, from Lebanon but also from the region, took part during four days in various contests, workshops, conferences and book signings.
Meetings, exchanging ideas and experience were privileged during the Fair, offering an opportunity for all to discover the latest market innovations and to highlight their creativity.

Horeca 2013 will take place from April 9 -12.
